Ndongesit Effeh

GCS Graduate, December 2025

Ndongesit Effeh, the fourth GCS graduate, completed his M.A. in New Testament from Harding School of Theology in December 2025. After discovering a love for the Word at an early age, he plans to continue his education through doctoral studies, serving the church better, equipping every student he encounters, and contributing to the growth of the Nigerian society.

Effeh grew up in a Christian household, watching his father preach and expound upon the Word from an early age. As he grew older, he came to love Scripture and developed a passion for teaching and using his skills for the kingdom. This passion continued into his college years. After some semesters of studying for a Financial Accounting degree at the University of Calabar, Effeh switched to the School of Biblical College, Jos, an affiliate of the University of Jos, where he obtained a B.A. Degree in Biblical Studies, and later to National Open University, where he graduated with a B.Sc. in Criminology and Security Studies in 2011 and 2018 respectively. His interest to teach the scriptures carried him to the Rivers School of Preaching, Asarama, Nigerian Christian Institute School of Preaching, Uyo, and CAO Essien Bible College, Ikot Usen.

In 2017, Effeh accepted a position as a Greek instructor at Nigerian Christian Bible College. It was there that his love of language and teaching reached its culmination. Effeh shared that he “finds joy as the Scriptures unfold, providing information about life now, and I enjoy sacred moments of sharing the discussing the biblical text with my students.” Wanting to deepen his Biblical language mastery and theological knowledge, Effeh connected with GCS and was accepted into Harding School of Theology.

Effeh passed his classes with flying colors, finding both family and community through GCS. He expressed gratitude for the staff who placed themselves in his shoes and walked with him throughout the process. After completing his degree, he remains thankful for the support, love, and compassion he received. At HST, he is grateful for the intellectual and spiritual rigor that allowed him to emerge with a deeper knowledge of God, a stronger understanding of the New Testament, and refined language skills.

Looking ahead, Effeh hopes to pursue doctoral studies in New Testament while continuing to contribute to the growth of the church, Nigerian Christian Bible College, and biblical scholarship in Nigerian society and beyond. He requests continued prayers for the following: his family, sponsors, and the church.
